Peace Fleece Needles

Peace Fleece needles are made from maple balls milled in Maine and birch and maple dowels milled in Lithuania.  They are pointed, assembled and painted by artisans in Russia. Peace Fleece was founded by Peter Hagerty and Marty Tracy in 1984 (during the Cold War) to promote peace and understanding through farmer to farmer interactions. Both the yarn and knitting needles are products of that collaboration among farmers and artisans. Please follow this link for the Peace Fleece story: https://www.peacefleece.com/pages/our-story. Katherine's notes: I love these needles, they are well balanced and the wood is smooth; the yarn slides yet doesn't slip off the needles.  The hand painted balls on the ends are beautiful and I store them in a clear vase so I can enjoy them even when they aren't holding a project. They would make a wonderful gift for your favorite knitter.
