Polwarth Shimmer National Parks

This truly gorgeous yarn is a DK weight blend of 85% Polwarth yarn and 15% silk. Despite the name, the yarn itself doesn't shimmer in a light glinting way, it's really more a description of the soft smooth hand and beautiful drape.  By itself, Polwarth wool is soft enough to wear next to the skin; the addition of silk is just, well, an added luxury.  These hanks are richly hand dyed; the colors representing the various National Parks for which they are named.  Each hank is a generous 330 yards per 4 oz. Hand wash lay flat to dry.
