This beautiful hand-dyed kit comes with a full skein primary color and five mini skeins of complimentary colors Sport weight superwash merino and instructions for Stephanie Shiman's Secret Staircase shawl. Directions for Stephanie's Autumn's Return shawl are available at knitty.com and also work beautifully with this yarn kit.  Either choice results in a lovely project that is fun to knit!  There are 344 yards on the 4 oz skein and 86 yards per 1 oz mini skein for a total of 774 yards in the kit. Gauge is 20-24 sts = 4" on US 4-6 needles. Care: while this yarn is machine washable in cold water, according to Stephanie "to best ensure a long life for your lovingly handmade item, hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry".
