Lamb's Pride Bulky
Lamb's Pride Bulky
Lamb’s Pride has been the mainstay for Brown Sheep Company since the very beginning. Many experienced knitters and crocheters will tell you that no yarn stash is complete without it. In fact, many longtime knitters fondly recall learning how to knit with Lamb’s Pride yarn. Lamb’s Pride remains a universal favorite because of its single-ply ease, silky finish, and extensive color selection. With its unique blend of 85% wool and 15% mohair, Lamb’s Pride has a distinctive luster that looks lovely in a handcrafted afghan, throw, sweater, or hat. Katherine's notes: when I lived in Maine I loved this yarn for cozy warm mittens. It's lovely to knit and so soft. I also love it for felting projects. The knitting felts down nicely, in the bulky weight you don't need to carry two strands. The tonal colors are just beautiful made into felted bowls, baskets, zippered bags; the subtle color changes give the item a beautiful dimensional look. Check out the pictures of some of the bowls and the basket I knitted then felted. You can see how this yarn gets a soft haze when felted that is irresistible to touch.
