Blue Ribbon Fiber Arts Hand-dyed, Hand spun yarns
Blue Ribbon Fiber Arts yarns
These beautiful yarns are hand dyed and hand spun by Su Richards in Hiram, Maine. Each skein is unique and what I have in stock is all I'll have until the next crop of fiber is processed, dyed and spun. These are the yarns so typical of a drive up the coast of Maine and a visit to small local yarn shops. I have more in my personal stash than I care to admit... I would characterize most of these a bulky weight with the exception of the 100% alpaca and the Merino Rose, which might be a little lighter - more of a worsted. In each of the skeins you'll see the thick & thin effect so characteristic of hand spun yarn. Using an ample needle size will enhance the natural softness and loft of these sumptuous skeins. Call the shop if you have questions or would like to see additional pictures of any of these selections.
