Beginner Brioche class

Good evening everyone!

If anyone is interested in learning beginner brioche, please send me an email to coastalpurl@gmail.com. I'd like to see how many people are interested and then we can arrange a convenient time for a class. Class would be $10 for the hour (pattern and yarn are additional) and include as much help as you need afterwards as you work through the pattern. I'm very happy with how the Hygge pattern, photos below, worked up and feel that it is an excellent pattern to learn the basics of this skill. Brioche without fear!

For this pattern, I used two yarn strands held together - Mirasol Inka and Diamond Yarns Impression Tweed. (You can see some color combos in the first photo.) The result equals a worsted/aran weight and works up beautifully on a US 8 needle.  For this project I used one ball of Inka and two balls of Impression. The Inka adds fluff and a little sheen. You could also work this project with Juniper Moon Farm Cotton+Merino by itself.  I love the squishy plushness of this stitch.  The pattern creates a shawl/scarf with a curve on one side, straight on the other. I found it very easy to style and the plush warmth is lovely.  It does work up quickly - there's still time to work one up as a Christmas gift!

If you're out of town I'm happy to ship the yarn; pattern is Hygge by Schwedenherz Design on Ravelry.

Kindly,
Katherine
