Coming Events at Coastal Purl

Hi Everyone!

First up, in June we will be bidding farewll to Chelsea and her four year old son Harry who have been regulars at the shop. Her husband Daniel has a new post for the Coast Guard in Savannah. Chelsea is a prolific and adventurous knitter, we will miss them so much!  For anyone who is in the area next Saturday, May 13, we'll be having a little going away party at the shop starting at 10 am; please let me know if you'll be joining us by RSVP-ing to coastalpurl@gmail.com. (Chelsea is modeling one of the many beautiful sweaters she's knit and Harry is modeling the gloves she knit out of yarn he selected at his favorite yarn shop <3)

May 13th is also the day before Mother's Day and we'll continue the very popular bundled pricing of the gorgeously scented Fair Isle (Lily of the Valley) scented bar soap and candles, or you can pair the Intarsia (lavender/cedarwood)scented liguid hand soap with the Fair Isle candle. All are hand crafted locally and with natural ingredients. I've also got some yarn on sale so please come check it out.  I have beautiful ribbon, sweet organza bags and tissue so your gifts can be wrapped and ready to go right here at the shop.

June 10th is International Knit in Public Day and once again Coastal Purl will be participating, stay tuned for details!

We will also be bringing back Knit Night Out starting in June and running through October, more on dates and locations to follow.

Saturday July 8th we'll be having a Tea Celebration and will welcome Yvette Thomas, CEO of Serena Tea. The event will be catered by Heaven on Board charcuteries and we'll do both hot and iced tea sampling. We'll be having a "Tea Pots as Art" show and participants will knit, crochet or felt cozies to cover their 6 or 8 cup ceramic tea pots in categories including "most personality", "nature inspired" and "most elegant". Contact me to enter, you have 2 months to complete this project! Time to get started!!
